The First Edition of the Malta International Photo Awards received submissions from all over the world across the five categories of Abstract, Cities, Nature, People and Storytelling.

Red Soul
HARDIJANTO BUDHIMAN
Inspired by dynamic movement of Flamenco dancing.
Red was chosen as the dominating colour to make the photo more attractive.

Social changes promise people a better life, democracy, human rights, end of poverty, and work for all. When the years pass and everything is over, only monuments will remain to remind us what we should not forget; both good and bad.

This single exposure piece was only recoloured, and no other content was digitally added or displaced in the photo. ‘Escape’ is an example of light and paint coming together to leave a a smooth mixture on the chest.
