Malta International Photo Award 2019 /2020

NOTE

Any claims in regards to the winning submissions for this edition of the Malta International Photo Award can be sent on info@maltaphotoaward.com by no later than Tuesday 28th July 2020 at 18:00 CET for internal review. Our team will evaluate each claim to ensure that the MIPA terms and conditions have been adhered to. After this deadline, the selected entries will be considered as final and no further changes would be possible. It is also expressly forbidden to utilise any image or photograph found on this page and the rest of the MIPA website, and MIPA together with the photographers reserve the right to any action for any unlawful use of such photos and/or imagery.

Underwater photograph inspired by the Muses. In Greek mythology, the nine muses were inspirational goddesses and it was common for an artist to turn to them for inspiration. The muses were considered the source of the knowledge embodied in the poetry, lyric songs, and myths that were related orally for centuries in ancient Greek culture.

This conceptual picture is about the daily activities of a Ping Pong Player in a Club. The photographer used to play ping-pong when he was young and when the idea of creating a personal photo series based on this sport came along, he executed it straight away.
